Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd will undergo a season-ending arthroscopic procedure to address ongoing right knee soreness, the team announced Wednesday.
Fudd, the first overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, last played Aug. 5 against the Washington Mystics.
She has a history of knee injuries dating back to high school, including a pair of ACL tears in her right knee.
Fudd developed into a key starter for the Wings in her debut campaign, averaging 13.1 points, 1.8 assists, 1.7 boards, and 1.7 steals across 30 appearances.
The UConn product also ranked sixth in the league in 3-point field-goal percentage (39.7%) and ninth in total steals (52).
Fudd was the first-ever rookie to win the WNBA's 3-Point Contest. She tallied the second-most points in the competition's history during the final round.
Dallas has lost four of their past five games with Fudd sidelined, dropping to eighth in the league standings.
Veterans Odyssey Sims and Alysha Clark have started in Fudd's place during her absence.
