Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce "should be good to go" for the team's Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Shane Steichen said Monday, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder.
Steichen added that Pierce is feeling "really good." The wideout spent the majority of the offseason recovering from ankle surgery and did not return to practice until Aug. 27.
Pierce is coming off a career season in which he caught 47 passes for 1,003 yards. His 21.3 yards per reception led the NFL. The Colts rewarded the 26-year-old wideout with a four-year, $114-million contract this offseason.
The Colts' receiving room also contains veteran Keenan Allen and fourth-year pro Josh Downs.
The Colts host the Ravens on Sunday at 1:00 p.m ET.
