The Boston Red Sox have made Chad Tracy their full-time manager, removing his interim tag and signing him to a three-year deal through 2029, the team announced Tuesday.
The Red Sox also hold a team option for 2030.

Tracy took over as manager following Alex Cora's dismissal in April, when the Red Sox were 10-17. Since then, Boston has posted a 74-55 record under Tracy.
Additionally, the Red Sox exercised the club's 2029 and 2030 contract options for chief baseball officer Craig Breslow.
"Craig and Chad are two exceptionally talented leaders who have earned these opportunities in very different ways," Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy said in a statement.
"Over the last three years, we have watched Craig bring clarity, discipline, and conviction to the work of building our baseball operation. Chad was asked to step into a difficult situation with little notice, but the trust he immediately commanded at the major-league level was earned through years of work across our organization. What this team has accomplished over the past several months has been historic."
The Red Sox enter Tuesday with a firm grip on the second wild-card position in the American League.
