New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. and his teammates were critical of Boston Red Sox radio announcer Will Flemming on Monday, a day after Flemming blasted Chisholm for stealing bases late in a one-sided game.
"They're called unwritten rules because you're not really breaking any rules," Chisholm told reporters, according to ESPN. "You've seen teams - actually (the Red Sox last season) - do the same thing where they're pouring on runs. We didn't have nothing to say or nothing to do about it.
"That's just showing how unprofessional (Flemming) is."
During the Yankees' 16-1 win Sunday, Flemming suggested that Red Sox reliever Jovani Morán hit Yankees catcher Austin Wells with a pitch and then fight Chisholm. Wells was at the plate when Chisholm stole two bases in the eighth inning.
Flemming also called Chisholm a "bush league player."

"He needs to stay out of that and not be telling people to throw at players and injure players," Yankees star Aaron Judge said of Flemming. "That's not what this game's about.
"Not too happy hearing broadcasters talking about trying to injure or hurt players. He needs to clean that up."
Flemming issued an online apology Monday, though it didn't mention Chisholm. The Yankees second baseman said he hadn't heard from Flemming in any other capacity before taking a shot of his own at the broadcaster.
"I didn't even know who that was until this morning," Chisholm said. "And I'm still not going to remember who he is after today."
