United States President Donald Trump will present the trophy to the winner of the World Cup final on July 19, FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed Tuesday.

Infantino said he and Trump will jointly pass the trophy to the winning team's captain after the match.

"We will be together with the president enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together," Infantino told "Fox & Friends."

"We are together all the time."

Trump was also part of the post-match celebrations for Chelsea's FIFA Club World Cup victory last summer, presenting the trophy to team captain Reece James. However, Trump notably stayed on the stage with the players even without the trophy.

Other heads of state have previously presented the trophy after a World Cup final. The most recent instance was in 1982 when Italy received the World Cup from King Juan Carlos of Spain, according to ESPN's Mark Ogden.

The 2026 World Cup final will take place in New Jersey.
