Canadian weightlifter Maude Charron is back on the Olympic podium.

This time, though, Charron is the Olympic silver medalist in the women's 59-kilogram class. The 31-year-old from Quebec won gold at 2020 Tokyo in the heavier 64-kilogram division, a category no longer included in the Olympic program.

China's Luo Shifang won gold after breaking the Olympic records in the snatch and the clean and jerk. Chinese Taipei's Kuo Hsing-Chun earned bronze.

Charron, one of Canada's flag bearers for the opening ceremony alongside Andre De Grasse, is now tied with Christine Girard as the most decorated Canadian Olympic weightlifter with two medals.
