The Winnipeg Jets snapped their nine-game losing streak in unfathomable fashion Tuesday night, scoring four goals in a 2:06 span late in the third period to set up an overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Winnipeg's unlikely victory marked the latest four-goal comeback win in NHL history, according to NHL Stats.
The Jets trailed 4-0 before Tyrel Bauer scored his first NHL goal with 2:39 remaining in regulation to spark the comeback. Morgan Barron scored shortly after, then Kyle Connor scored twice in a 27-second span to force the extra frame.

The offensive outburst marked the fastest four goals the Jets have ever scored. Connor is hopeful the victory can galvanize Winnipeg after its extended winless stretch.
"Yeah, we're gonna enjoy this one," Connor said, according to team reporter Jamie Thomas. "You got to enjoy wins in the National Hockey League, especially when you're on a streak like that. And we're gonna try to use this to catapult us and to build upon it."
Bauer also discussed how important the comeback was for the team.
"That's a special feeling, especially for that group right now," the rookie said. "It's no secret what we just went through. In a game where we thought we were playing well and we were doing some good things and we just still couldn't find it. We knew something had to give and finally it did."
The Jets outplayed the Canadiens at five-on-five throughout the contest, but were stonewalled by star goaltender Jacob Fowler until the dying minutes. Winnipeg outshot Montreal 47-22 and controlled 58.18% of expected goals at five-on-five, according to Natural Stat Trick.
