The Anaheim Ducks signed restricted free agent defenseman Pavel Mintyukov to a five-year contract extension, the club announced Sunday.
The deal is worth $36 million and includes a $3-million signing bonus in the first year, according to Frank Seravalli.
Mintyukov's new pact comes after the Ducks were notified that an offer sheet was pending for the 22-year-old, sources told Seravalli.
Mintyukov, who was taken 10th overall in 2022 draft, recorded 22 points (eight goals and 14 assists) across 73 games last season.
The Ducks will have less than $10 million remaining in salary cap space if they match the Philadelphia Flyers' five-year, $90-million offer sheet for centre Leo Carlsson.
Anaheim still needs to sign RFA winger Cutter Gauthier. The 22-year-old scored 41 goals with 28 assists in 76 games during a breakout campaign in 2025-26.
