The St. Louis Blues traded winger Jordan Kyrou to the Washington Capitals for forwards Connor McMichael, Milton Gastrin, and the No. 16 pick in Friday's draft.

Kyrou had been the subject of trade rumors for several years.

Though he's coming off a down year with 46 points, Kyrou's a three-time 30-goal scorer and three-time 70-point producer. He tallied a career-high 75 points in 2021-22 and scored a personal-best 37 goals a year later.

The 28-year-old is locked up for five more years with an $8.15-million cap hit.

McMichael, a pending restricted free agent, can play both center and wing. The 25-year-old notched 46 points in 78 games last season after producing a career-high 57 points the year prior.

Gastrin was a second-round pick by the Capitals in 2025. The 19-year-old center registered 24 points in 39 contests in Sweden's second-tier league this past campaign.

The Blues now have four first-round picks on Friday: Nos. 11, 15, 16, and 29.

The Capitals still hold the No. 18 pick acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in the John Carlson trade.
