Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry shut down speculation that he's a trade candidate ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline after his team's 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football.
"I have not mentioned me going anywhere else," Henry said postgame, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "I'm saying, 'Let's go back to work. Let's try to get better and turn this thing around.'"
On Wednesday, ESPN's Dan Graziano floated Henry's name as a player teams could target because of Baltimore's recent struggles. Thursday's loss dropped the Ravens to 4-5, and they're expected to be without star quarterback Lamar Jackson for the rest of the season due to the thumb injury he suffered last Sunday.
Baltimore started undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano against the Jaguars after placing backup Tyler Huntley on injured reserve with a toe issue. The UConn product struggled, completing 10 of 18 passes for 60 yards, throwing two interceptions, and posting a passer rating of 22.7.
Henry took a ton of direct snaps in the Wildcat formation throughout the contest and finished with 17 carries for 57 yards. Baltimore is reportedly acquiring veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, and he's expected to start for the foreseeable future.
"Lamar's incredible. Obviously going to be sorely missed," Ravens tight end Mark Andrews said after the loss. "(But) we deserve to put out a better product because we have such talented players and coaches and guys that really want to get this thing going."
Henry has been with Baltimore since signing as a free agent in 2024. He's under contract through the 2027 season and will carry a $16.2 million cap hit next campaign, according to Over The Cap. The 32-year-old has played in all nine Ravens games this season, recording 689 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Baltimore sits last in the AFC North and faces the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10 on Monday Night Football.
