The Arizona Cardinals are trading wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans, ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport report.

The Cardinals are reportedly sending Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Houston for a 2027 second-round selection and a sixth-round pick.

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed that his team acquired Harrison following the team's 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The Cardinals apparently informed the 24-year-old receiver Saturday that he wouldn't play Sunday because a trade was being finalized. Harrison reportedly hired agents to represent him in late September after previously having no representation.

Arizona selected Harrison fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft after a productive career at Ohio State. However, he's been underwhelming as an NFL pro.

Harrison registered 1,578 yards with the Cardinals. He peaked in his rookie season with 62 catches, 885 yards, and eight touchdowns. He had 41 receptions for 608 yards and four scores in his second year. Across four games in 2026, Harrison recorded 85 yards and a touchdown on five catches.

The Texans are 1-4 after winning their first game of the season Sunday. Harrison joins a receiver room headlined by two-time Pro Bowler Nico Collins that also includes Kayshon Boutte, who was acquired via trade in August.

Harrison is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., who spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts. He totaled 14,580 receiving yards and 128 touchdowns on 1,102 catches.
