Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley suffered a hamstring injury during the team's second offensive drive in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Barkley began limping after a 6-yard run and then hobbled to the sideline. He spent time in the medical tent before going into the locker room. The Eagles later ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.
Barkley's latest ailment marks the second game this year in which he's left early with an injury. He exited during the first quarter of Philadelphia's Week 2 victory over the Tennessee Titans due to a stinger.
Tank Bigsby replaced Barkley after his departure Sunday. Bigsby rushed 14 times for 55 yards.
Barkley has rushed for 174 yards on 34 carries this season, though he has yet to score a touchdown.
