Head coach Sean McVay said the Los Angeles Rams expect wide receiver Puka Nacua to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to the Los Angeles Times' Gary Klein.
McVay added that Nacua would practice Wednesday in a limited capacity after missing the last two games with a hip issue. The All-Pro wideout sustained the injury in practice on Sept. 17 and hadn't joined the team for on-field drills since.
Davante Adams has excelled with Nacua sidelined in recent weeks, catching 15 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns over the past two games.
Nacua's return should provide a huge spark for the Rams' offense. He topped the NFL last season with 129 catches while also recording 1,715 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Nacua led L.A. with five receptions for 74 yards in the team's opening-week loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.
McVay also said defensive tackle Aaron Donald wouldn't practice Wednesday due to a back issue. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year's status for Sunday's game remains uncertain. The 35-year-old has tallied four tackles and one QB hit in two contests after returning from a two-year retirement in August.
The Rams (1-2) will look to rebound from their 30-26 loss to the Denver Broncos.
