When asked about his level of concern for quarterback Drake Maye after Sunday's 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said he's worried about everyone on the roster.
"Well, my concern level is very high for this football team," Vrabel told reporters postgame. "I just want to coach and improve. So, I think that's the biggest thing when you come off a game like that."
The Patriots fell to 1-2 on the year after making the Super Bowl last season. The defeat was their largest of the Vrabel era and their worst since a 40-7 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in December 2024.
Maye's season struggles continued Sunday, as he completed just 14 of 25 passes for 199 yards and two interceptions. He also fumbled twice, one of which the Jaguars recovered, making him responsible for all three of New England's turnovers.
Vrabel was spotted consoling Maye on the sidelines after he threw his second interception.

Heading into Sunday's afternoon window, Maye's seven turnovers this season are the most in the league. He's thrown for just 585 yards with one touchdown and six interceptions, and his 58.6 passer rating ranks 34th among 36 qualifying signal-callers, according to TruMedia.
"It's disappointing," Maye said postgame when asked how he's feeling. "(When) the ball starts rolling like that, we can't get out of our own way, and (I) can't get out of my own way, personally. So, I gotta look myself in the mirror and take this as a turning point.
"It's Week 3, and at the same time, we gotta have some fuel and realize that what we're doing out there offensively is unacceptable."
New England (1-2) will look to get back to .500 when it faces an AFC East rival in the Buffalo Bills (3-0) next Sunday.
