Texas linebacker and Columbus, Ohio, native Rasheem Biles says he had no interest in playing for his hometown team when it approached him in the transfer portal in January.
"I ain't really trying to be in Columbus. I ain't trying to be a Buckeye," Biles said, according to CJ Vogel of OnTexasFootball. "They didn't want me out of high school and I was right there, so ain't no point in trying to get me now."
Biles, who entered the portal after three seasons with Pitt, eventually committed to the Longhorns. Texas is slated to face Ohio State on Sept. 12 - a matchup that Biles says he's looking forward to.
The linebacker recorded 101 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 2025.
