Utah Jazz big man Jaren Jackson Jr. will be re-evaluated in six weeks after sustaining a torn MCL in his right knee, the team announced Tuesday.
Jackson won't require surgery for the injury, according to ESPN's Shams Charania and Tim MacMahon.
The two-time All-Star exited early in the second quarter of Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies and didn't return.
Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen also left Monday's matchup with a right wrist sprain and is listed day-to-day.
The Jazz acquired Jackson from the Grizzlies in February. He made just three appearances for Utah last season before the team shut him down due to a knee issue discovered after his acquisition.
Jackson averaged 16.3 points, five boards, two assists, and 1.3 blocks through his first four appearances this season.
The Michigan State product won Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023.
