Lightweight Renato Moicano is back in the win column after submitting Chris Duncan with a rear-naked choke in the UFC Fight Night main event Saturday at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.

The finish came at the 3:14 mark of the second round.

Moicano, ranked No. 10 in the 155-pound division, showed there are levels to the sport with an electric performance against Duncan, briefly dropping him with a punch before battering him on the ground and sinking in a choke. With the victory, the 36-year-old Brazilian snapped a two-fight losing streak.

In 2025, Moicano suffered back-to-back losses to then-lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush. This was his first victory since a TKO finish over Benoit Saint Denis in September 2024.

Duncan, unranked heading into his first UFC main event, saw his four-fight winning streak end. The 32-year-old Scottish fighter fell to 6-2 in the Octagon overall.
