Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran isn't happy with his performance at the plate in June despite hitting a two-run homer in Saturday's win over the Texas Rangers.

"I'm going to be honest with you: I've felt terrible," Duran said postgame, according to Christopher Smith of MassLive. "Playing like shit at the plate. But just gotta figure it the f--k out. I'm not really doing much for the team at the plate. So, I've just gotta be better."

The 2024 All-Star went 6-for-38 with one extra-base hit and 16 strikeouts in nine games this month before going deep in his 1-for-4 effort against the Rangers.

"I've just got to be committed to what my approach is," Duran said, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive. "I get caught in between, I put all that pressure on myself. Just stupid mistakes on my part. I've gotta stop being stupid, honestly, and just play baseball."

The 29-year-old is slashing .210/.268/.389 with 11 homers, 36 RBIs, and a team-leading 11 stolen bases in 63 contests this season.

The Red Sox (29-39) sit last in the AL East amid a tumultuous season in which they fired longtime manager Alex Cora and the majority of his staff. Rising stars Garrett Crochet and Roman Anthony have also suffered long-term injuries.
